Microsoft has published the agenda for its annual Mobile and Embedded Developers Conference (MEDC), set for May 1 through 3 in Las Vegas. MEDC is geared toward developers, managers, and technical and business decision makers who deal with mobile or embedded devices or systems.

This year's technical program is split into four tracks:
        • Application Development
        • Developing Windows Embedded Devices
        • Managing and Deploying Devices
        • Enterprise Application Architecture
Each track includes breakout sessions, self-paced hands-on labs, instructor-led labs, and device testing and upgrade labs. Additionally, each track is preceded by a full-day pre-conference tutorial on April 30.

A one-day business and market opportunities track is scheduled for May 1. This includes the "ISV Speed Dating" session, during which ISVs (independent software vendors) get three minutes of "undivided attention" to demonstrate their best Windows Mobile application directly to mobile operators and OEM decision makers.

MEDC will be held at the Venetian Hotel again this year. Early bird registration is available until Feb. 23, priced at $895 for the full conference, $400 off the regular price. Optional pre-conference tutorials are $195. A one-day business pass that includes the keynote, business content sessions and ISV Speed Dating on May 1 runs $495.

At MEDC 2006, Microsoft Rolled out a preview of Windows CE 6. Perhaps at MEDC 2007, we'll be treated to a taste of Windows Mobile 6?
