Microsoft's Windows Embedded Partners support the Windows CE and/or Windows XP Embedded software platforms. The winners are classified in a range of categories including Distributors, Systems Integrators, Silicon Vendors, Independent Hardware Vendors, and Independent Software Vendors, which are representative of the many types of partners in Microsoft's Windows Embedded ecosystem.
Congratulations to this year's winners:
- Distributor: Arrow Electronics -- Arrow Electronics was named Distributor of the Year for its stellar performance in driving increased revenue growth with value-added services of its Microsoft-focused engineering team and leveraging its relationship with other Microsoft partners.
- Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) and Systems Integrator (SI): Applied Data Systems (Windows CE) -- Participating in the Windows Embedded Evaluation Hardware Kitting Program, Applied Data Systems significantly reduced the development time for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers in key device categories.
- Independent Software Vendor (ISV): TenAsys (Windows XP Embedded) -- TenAsys has developed innovative products that augment the Windows XP Embedded platform. TenAsys's INtime technology addresses the need for mission-critical control and applications requiring real-time determinism.
- Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM): Fujitsu Transaction Solutions (Windows XP Embedded) -- Fujitsu won "OEM of the Year" for providing point-of-sale (POS) terminals running Windows XP Embedded to leading North American retailers.
- Silicon Vendor (SV): Intel Corporation (Windows CE) -- Intel's leading-edge application processors support a high level of design activity across key device categories, such as PDAs, Smartphones, thin clients, gateways, set-top-boxes and voice over IP (VoIP) phones. Intel provides valuable technical feedback to optimize Windows Embedded operating systems for Intel applications processors based on the Intel XScale and Intel embedded x86 architectures.
