        Microsoft takes another spin at automotive electronics

        According to an article at ZDNet, Microsoft is making another attempt to enter the automotive industry by persuading carmakers to use Windows CE to power on-board navigation and entertainment systems. Car manufacturers BMW, Honda, and Volvo have begun to show an interest in using Windows CE in their vehicles, which is part of Microsoft’s plan to partner with the manufacturers in order to...


        gain market share in the automotive industry. This is not Microsofts first attempt at bringing its technology to the car, the article notes; its first attempt failed in the aftermarket automotive electronic products.
