Softwired says the new version of iBusMobile includes a .NET Compact Framework library specifically for Windows Mobile, based on Softwired's WJMS (Wireless Java Message Service) client that provides "reliable" data communication even over "fragile" mobile networks. The iBusMobile Gateway, based on JMS semantics, guarantees message delivery "once and only once," including over wireless networks.

Enterprise mobile deployments are increasingly focused on business applications requiring real-time interaction using new generation PDAs and smartphones. Making these applications work well requires reliable mobile messaging middleware technology that enables real-time connectivity between event driven mobile applications and back-end systems, the company adds.
Softwired developed the .NET CF client for around 10,000 postal employees of POST Denmark. The company says it integrated POST Denmark's J2EE (SAPWAS) application server via Java (JMS) with the iBusMobile Gateway, communicating over GPRS to .NET CF client devices (initially Qtek 8310s). The result, according to POST Denmark's project leader, Anders Jensen, incorporates "the best of both worlds -- Windows front-end client devices communicating to Java (JMS) back-end systems."
