        Mini-ITX mini motherboard soars to 1700MHz and beyond

        Taiwanese industrial computer board supplier Commell has pushed the speed envelope for the compact Mini-ITX mini motherboard form-factor, with the release of its latest Mini-ITX board that supports Intel's mobile Pentium 4 processors at clock rates in excess of 1700 MHz.



        Commell's LV-671 is built around Intel's 82855GM and 82801DB core logic chipset, and features Intel's Extreme Graphics 2 with up to 64MB of dynamically allocated video RAM and support for dual independent displays and single/dual LVDS panel support up to UXGA resolution. Commell expects the compact, low power, highly integrated board to be popular among developers of gaming, entertainment, network computing, and other high performance embedded apps. Operating system support includes Windows 2000/XP and Linux.
