Ilium Software, a vendor of Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone application software, says it plans to include Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) versions in all future product releases.

The company claims to be the first major PDA software developer to embrace the new UMPC platform.

Ilium says it has a "long history" of working with Microsoft to bring out software for the full range of mobile platforms, including the Handheld PC, Palm-size PC, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone, and now the UMPC.

The companuy's current software titles include eWallet, ListPro, NewsBreak, Keep Track, and DockWare. Free 30-day trial downloads are available here.

"Ilium Software has always produced excellent software for Pocket PCs and Smartphones," said Hal Goldstein, Publisher of Pocket PC and Smartphone Magazine. "I believe that their decision to support the UMPC is an important indicator about the role the UMPC will play in the future mobile-device landscape."

Ilium will announce more details, including release dates, in the coming months, the company said.
