Giving it 4.5 out of five stars, reviewer Sascha Segan declares the "RAZR-thin" Q to be the "coolest smartphone in America."
Segan writes that the Q is "a terrific voice phone, a dandy music player, and a swell e-mail machine."
Listening to music while surfing the Web on Pocket Internet Explorer worked well. He notes, however, that downloading email in the background caused the music to skip. On the positive side, an incoming call pauses the music, which then resumes where it left off when the call is finished.
"Video is another story," writes Segan. Videos transferred through Windows Media Player 10 or downloaded directly onto an SD card wouldn't play without the device "stuttering." This is odd, given that the Q actually rates faster on
PCMag's video benchmark tests than the T-Mobile SDA and MDA, both of which can play video smoothly in a small window, Segan observes.
