Samsung announced a new Pocket PC based multifunction handheld device that is said to combine the capabilities of a mobile phone, TV, PC, camera, camcorder, GPS, MP3 player and 2-way radio -- all in one mobile unit.
According to Samsung, the M400 Multifunctional Mobile Terminal has a 3.5-inch 320 x 240 pixel display (usable in both portrait and landscape mode) along with 128MB standard memory (expandable to 512MB), and features the Hangul (Korean script) version of Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition.
Additionally, the M400 boasts a built-in 300,000-pixel digital camera/camcorder that swivels 270 degrees for easy still shots or video clips, and also comes with a built-in TV tuner. Video from the camera and TV tuner can be recorded on the device, and the built-in Windows Media Player lets users play back video files and MP3 files as though on a PC, Samsung said.
