Intermec Technologies announced that it has begun shipping its newest ruggedized Pocket PC handheld, the "760 Color", said to be the first such device to offer three wireless communication options -- Wi-Fi (802.11b), Bluetooth, and GPRS or CDMA/1xRTT radios.

The 700 Series family handhelds, of which the 760 Color is a member, are based on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor and include a built-in imager capable of reading barcodes (including 2D symbologies), taking photographs, and capturing signatures. Other key features include a reflective 240 x 320 pixel color TFT display and input/output ports for RS232 serial, 115 kbps IrDA, USB, and 10Base-T Ethernet.
