Data Evolution Corp. will ship in 2005 a revision of its convertible tablet/laptop PC. The Clio NXT will feature a near-full-sized keyboard, and the same "SwingTop" design as the older Clio model pictured. The company calls it "the world's only full-sized, Windows CE, convertible handheld computer."

The original Clio, introduced in 1999, features a 9.4 inch VGA screen that rotates 180 degrees to easily convert between notebook mode, with a full keyboard, and tablet mode, shown at right, where the keyboard is hidden beneath the screen.

The new Clio NXT will run Windows CE 4.2 on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor. It will feature a larger screen, and incorporate 802.11 WiFi capability and USB, Data Evolution says. The company expects to announce additional new features in the coming weeks.

Data Evolution says it expects to begin shipping the Clio NXT in early 2005. It is currently accepting pre-orders.
