        Online videos explore and explain Windows XPe SP2

        MSDN has added three videos to its library of online Windows XP Embedded tutorials. The new videos cover various aspects of the recently released Service Pack 2 (SP2), including demonstrations of how to configure and develop with Windows XP Embedded SP2, overviews of new and updated embedded-oriented features, and a discussion of SP2's security enhancements.




        The three new titles are:
        • Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2 -- Basic -- Demonstrates how to configure, build, and boot a Windows XP Embedded SP2 operating system in a Virtual PC environment. Includes adding custom components and taking a hardware snapshot using Target Analyzer. (39:34 minutes)

        • Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2 Technical Training: Embedded Enabling Features -- Overview of Windows XP Embedded SP2 Embedded Enabling Features (EEFs), including the updated Enhanced Write Filter, Hibernate Once/Resume Many (HORM) and more. (17:32 minutes)

        • Windows XP Embedded with SP2 Security Feature Enhancements -- Overview of the security enhancements in Windows XP Embedded with SP2. This session focuses on Buffer Overruns and No Execute. (56:30 minutes)
