Opera Software has released an enhanced version of its web browser for Windows Mobile devices. Opera Mobile 8.65, offers improved performance, rendering, and scripting support, and adds a variety of new features.

In addition to multiple stability fixes, Opera Mobile 8.65 includes enhancements to its user interface, according to Opera. For example, the program now features the ability to search directly in the address bar.

Among changes aimed at improving the rendering of pages not designed for small screens, the program's fit-to-screen function is said to operate better on many pages. In addition, the "desktop" mode -- which lets users pan around a page -- now offers an 800 pixel minimum virtual screen width.
