According to Orange's
developer website, the process of unlocking the SPV involves the temporary removal of the certificates. The unlock/lock process is delivered over-the-air to the SPV. Then, after application development has taken place, the developer re-locks the device and re-instates the certificates in order to complete the testing procedure. Once the device is re-locked, unsigned applications will no longer run on the device. Additionally, the process of unlocking and locking the SPV requires that the developer provide personal/device information and agree to Orange's terms and conditions.
