Entries will be judged in three categories:

        • Research Project
The deadline for entries is Dec. 10, 2004, and winners will be announced at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco next March. The winners in each category will be flown to San Francisco to attend an awards ceremony in their honor, and their winning projects will be showcased at the Conference and presented to the press.

The 2005 PC/104 Embedded Design Contest will also give the embedded developer community a chance to choose their favorite entry from among the three categories' finalists, based on which they feel best utilizes the Consortium's technologies. Balloting will take place online, via email, and at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco.
