The Cheetah two-board sandwich consists of separate processor and I/O boards, both in a 3.6 x 3.8 inch PC/104-Plus format. It features an integrated high-performance Intel Extreme Graphics 2 chipset that supports analog monitors and LVDS flat-panel displays.

Additional input/output interfaces provided by the Cheetah boardset include:
        • Ethernet
        • IDE
        • 2 USB 2.0 ports
        • 2 serial ports
        • Printer port
        • Audio
        • PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports
The standard PC/104-Plus expansion bus connectors support both ISA- and PCI-interfaced add-on modules, VersaLogic notes.

The Cheetah boardset contains a customizable, field-upgradable BIOS designed to support embedded OSes such as Windows CE/XP/XPe, Linux, VxWorks, QNX, DOS, and others.

        Availability

The Cheetah is available now, priced at about $1,500 in OEM quantities, according to VersaLogic.
