Advantech says the UNO-2160 is ideal for use as a controller, communication gateway, or thin client, and supports two embedded operating systems -- Windows CE .NET 4.2, and Windows XP Embedded. Preconfigured OS images are available, including optimized device drivers for onboard functions.
Key features of the UNO-2160, according to Advantech, include:
- On-board Celeron 400MHz, 256/512 MB SDRAM
- Provides 512K bytes of battery-backup RAM
- Supports Lm sensor which can retrieve CPU and board temperature for monitoring purposes
- Two RS-232, two RS-232/422/485 with automatic flow control
- Dual 10/100 Base-T RJ-45 ports
- Dual optional PC/104 Extension
- Two USB ports and one Type I/II PC card
- Supports Modbus/RTU and Modbus/TCP devices.
- Supports ADAM series for remote data acquisition and control
