The compact, CerfBoard 270 single-board computer (SBC) had previously been supported with a Windows CE 5.0 BSP.

The CerfBoard 270, introduced in May of 2006, is based on an ARM-based Marvell (formerly Intel) PXA270 applications processor, and provides two CompactFlash slots and an SD/MMC slot that can be used to add Bluetooth, Wireless WAN, or additional memory. I/O connections include a 10/100 Ethernet port, dual serial ports, flexible digital I/O, a JTAG connector, dual-stacked USB 2.0 host, USB 1.1 client/host support, a VGA LCD connector (with optional LCD display), a 4-wire resistive touchscreen connector, and audio connectors, according to Intrinsyc.

Ken Arnold, Intrinsyc's product manager of engineering services, stated that "With the addition of Windows Embedded 6.0 support for the CerfBoard product line, our customers are able to continually stay ahead by delivering leading edge products that capitalize on the latest technologies."

The Windows CE 6.0 BSP for the CerfBoard 270 is available now. Upgrades from Windows CE 5.0 to 6.0 are available for current customers, the company said.
