Belview Technologies has released a "special edition" of its "All-In-One Touch" computer that substitutes a CompactFlash (CF) card for the slim-line disk drive. This version of the Promac PP6500 comes with Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) pre-installed.

Belview says the PP6500 with CF eliminates one of the most frequent points of failure in a space-limited panel PC, the disk drive. The standard CF card is 4 GB with 8 GB available as an option. Thus, the unit is aimed at users who don't require large data storage capacity such as client-server and thin client applications.
