        PhatWare betas PhatPad 4.0

        PhatWare Corp. has released the beta of a major update to its notes organizer for Windows Mobile handhelds and Windows-based tablets, laptops, and desktops.         PhatPad can be used for drawing pictures, jotting down text notes, or entering a mixture of pictures and typed text on a virtual scratch pad, PhatWare says. The program uses new digital ink technology, said to provides a "very smooth ink flow, so it feels like writing on an actual piece of paper." The app supports standard editing commands, such as Cut, Copy, and Paste, as well as customizable pen palette and variable pen width.

        PhatWare President Stan Miasnikov stated, "We are pleased to unveil PhatPad 4.0 for Beta testing, as user feedback is a key component to the developments we make."
