        Pocket PC phone sports FM, TV receivers

        Gigabyte has launched what it claims is the first Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone to include both FM radio and broadcast TV. The g-Smart also boasts a 2.1 Mpixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and built-in navigation software that works with an external bluetooth GPS receiver.

        The g-Smart receives both PAL and NTSC analog television and broadcast FM radio, according to Gigabyte. Additionally, the unit includes PaPaGo G10 navigation software from Maction Technologies, along with 3D maps of Taiwan, and comes with a comprehensive English-Chinese dictionary, the company says.

        Gigabyte lists the following key features and specifications for the g-Smart:
        • Processor -- 416 MHz Intel PXA272
        • Memory -- 64 MB each of RAM and Flash
        • Display -- 2.4 inch QVGA TFT LCD with touchscreen, 256K colors
        • Expansion -- Mini SD (256 MB mini SD card included)
        • Camera -- 2.1 Mpixel with macro function, digital zoom, and video recording
        • Wireless:
          • GSM 900/1800/1900,GPRS class 10
          • 802.11b WiFi
          • Bluetooth 1.2.1
        • Operating System -- Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC Phone Edition
        • Dimensions -- 4.29 x 2.1 x 0.94 inches (109 x 53.5 x 24 mm)
        • Weight -- 5.4 oz (153g), including battery
        Price and availability were not disclosed.
