those of the original X500. The device is based on a 400 MHz Samsung SC3 2442, and is equipped with 64 MB of SDRAM and 128 MB of flash memory. It sports the full range of wireless communication including:
- GSM/EDGE Quad-band: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
- GPRS/EGPRS Class B, multi-slot Class 10
- Bluetooth v2.0 class 2 + EDR
- WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g "certificated"
- GPS -- SiRF Star III chipset with Instant Fix ephemeris extension
The improved 2 Mpixel auto-macro camera is said to be better at capturing images at close range. This complements Namecard Manager, one of E-ten's proprietary software applications included with the X500+. Namecard Manager uses OCR to extract contact information from the image of a business card and add it to the phone's contact database, according to the company.
The X500+ maintains the same dimensions as its predecessor, 4.45 x 2.34 x 0.61 inches, and is offered in silver and black, according to E-ten. Price and availability were not revealed.
