        Protecting XP/NT Embedded based devices from the Blaster worm

        Microsoft has publicly released patches to protect devices containing Windows NT Embedded and Windows XP Embedded from the Blaster worm. Patches for the following OS runtimes are currently available .

        • Windows XP Embedded w/Service Pack 1
        • Windows XP Embedded
        • Windows NT Embedded 4.0 w/Service Pack 6a (both Server & Workstation)
        • Windows NT Embedded 4.0 w/Service Pack 6 (both Server & Workstation)
        • Windows NT Embedded 4.0 (aka Windows NT Embedded w/Service Pack 5) (both Server & Workstation)
        If you are an end-user of devices running any of these operating systems, information is publicly available here regarding paths to patch your devices.

        If you are an OEM building devices on any of these operating systems, please contact your Microsoft Windows Embedded Account Manager or your distributor regarding steps you can take to patch your devices.
