The Solo HD 200 is based on the STMicroelectronics STB7109 system-on-chip (SoC), which has a 300 MHz SH4-202 CPU core. The device has 128MB of RAM, 64MB of flash memory, and 32MB of graphics memory.

Dynavisions's specifications do not include a hard disk drive, although USB drives may be supported. The lack of a local drive suggests that the Solo HD 200 is primarily intended to play video streamed over the Internet. The company cites "over 1000 IPTV channels," plus compatibility with YouTube, MyVideo, and the German Maxdome video store.

A custom interface (shown below) provides access to a variety of services. The unit is also Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) compatible, able to play content stored on PCs or other compatible media servers.

As mentioned, the Solo HD 200 outputs video in up to 720p (1280 x 720), sending it over an HDMI 1.1 interface. Also including a S/PDIF digital optical output, it is compatible with 5:1 Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound.

For Internet connectivity, the box includes a 10/100 Ethernet interface, and wireless 802.11b/g/n networking that is supplied via a USB dongle (included in the box). It offers Web browsing via Internet Explorer and VoIP telephony via the Jajah service, according to Dynavisions.

Dynavisions says the German-made Solo HD 200 will be available during the first quarter of 2008 for approximately 400 Euros.
