        Report: Global mobile device market shows "tremendous growth"

        Market research firm Canalys reports that the worldwide market for "smart" pocket-sized mobile devices is exhibiting "tremendous growth," with revenue for the second quarter of 2004 gaining 45 percent over the same period in 2003. The report, which finds smart phones leading by volume but wireless handhelds growing fast, breaks down revenue both by device vendor (Nokia, PalmOne, HP, RIM, Sony-Ericsson,...
