Stealth Computer is shipping a compact, rugged, PC-compatible system that supports Windows XP and Windows XP Embedded. The LPC-401FS runs fanless, thanks to the use of a mobile Celeron processor along with an extruded aluminum chassis that serves as a heat sink.

The unit is based on a 1.5 GHz Celeron Mobile processor equipped with up to 1 GB of low-profile PC400 memory. It features a 2.5-inch high-shock hard drive, with up to 80 GB of storage. The hard drive can also be replaced by an IDE Flash disk, for additional shock and vibration resistance. A slim 24X CD-ROM is another standard feature, with DVD-ROM, DVD/DVDRW, and CD-RW drives available as options.

Stealth Computer is aiming the LPC-401FS at industrial, commercial, scientific research, military, public safety, utility, transportation, mining, and telecommunications applications. It operates from a 12V DC power source, making it suitable for mobile and field deployment, the company says.
