        Rugged handhelds run Windows CE and Windows Mobile

        Symbol Technology recently introduced a pair of rugged handheld computers to complement the MC9000-G introduced last year. The MC9000-S offers a compact, slimmer format than the MC9000-G, while the MC9000-K provides a full-sized keypad format.



        Symbol says the MC9000 family is specifically suited for "mobility applications integral to the supply chain." Target market segments include field service, manufacturing, route accounting/DSD, transportation and logistics, and wholesale distribution.
