MX3 and
MX3-RFID, both introduced in 2004. The new unit upgrades the SA-1110 processor of earlier models to a 400 MHz PXA255, and increases maximum memory capacity to 128 MB each of SDRAM and flash. The unit's 6-inch high brightness display incorporates a resistive touchscreen with anti-glare coating and tethered stylus, according to LXE.

LXE describes its ToughTalk voice recognition technology as a specialized combination of ruggedized system design, advanced audio circuitry and noise-canceling techniques that allow the VX3X to support industrial-grade voice recognition applications. The company offers
VoxBrowser for developing voice-enabled logistics applications.
The company did not offer any details on price or availability of the VX3X.
