State editions include a complete set of 1:24000 maps in addition to the 100,000 and 250,000 scale maps, according to Prosurv. Some state editions require more than one SD card.
Each SD card also includes Pocket Quads software that, when used with an attached GPS receiver, automatically loads the map corresponding to the current GPS position. Prosurv says the software tracks location as the user walks or drives, and can record and play back routes by time or distance. The included USGS state databases by feature name.
AvailabilityAccording to the company, Pocket Quads Regional and State Editions work with Windows Mobile 2003, 2003SE, and 5.0. Regional editions are available now at the company's
on-line store, priced at $299 each.
Each state edition is priced at $299 plus $50 for each additional SD card required. State editions are not yet shipping, but may be "pre-ordered" at a 10 percent discount off the list price, Prosurv says.
