Bsquare has released a major update to its toolkit for integrating SDIO (Secure Digital I/O) technology into devices based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile and Windows Embedded software platforms. "SDIO Now!" version 2.0 supports chipsets, host controllers, and peripherals based on the SD and SDIO standards.

According to Bsquare, key new features of version 2.0 of SDIO Now! include: support for the SD Card Association's SDIO 1.1 specification; support for the Intel PXA27x processor's native SDIO controller; substantial performance enhancements; and, support for Windows CE 5.0 and Microsoft's next generation Windows Mobile platform.
