EmbeddedFusion says the DVD format "maintains the feel of a live training course," through video presentations of the material by Steve Maillet, lead author of the course. Maillet (pictured above) is a well known Microsoft Embedded MVP. A comprehensive navigation system allows a student to skip forward or back to parts of interest, rewind, and play it again.
EmbeddedFusion originally developed the course -- known as
Building Embedded Solutions with Windows CE 5.0, MSDN-2540N -- for Microsoft. The course is divided into five modules:
- Overview and Architecture
- System Programming
- Inside the Build System
- System Initialization and Startup
- Advanced Configurations
Also included with the DVD is a printed lab manual, and evaluation versions of Platform Builder and Visual Studio.
