The system targets video gaming machines, video lottery terminals, electronic signage, kiosks, and other embedded applications.
The AR-ES0892 comes with a compact aluminum chassis described as "lightweight" and "ruggedized." It measures 12.2 x 8.27 x 3.14 inches (310 x 210 x 80 mm).
The AR-ES0892 appears to have a socketed motherboard, or to be orderable with a choice of processors clocked up to 667MHz. Available options include Intel's
Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, Core Solo, and Celeron M.
The AR-ES0892's front-side bus speed is 533MHz, and a pair of SoDIMM slots support up to 4GB of dual channel 667/533 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
I/O includes a wealth of standard PC I/O, expandable via a 32-bit, 33MHz PCI slot, and a separate PCIe x16 expansion slot.
