The event targets a broad demographic, including developers, IT professionals, and enterprise users, according to conference organizers.
The one-day event -- titled "Smartphone Enterprise Solutions" and sponsored by Smartphone Summit 2005 -- takes place September 26 at the W Hotel in San Francisco. Topics will include the latest smartphone technologies, solutions, hardware, software, and accessories, and targeted software platforms will span the gamut, from Windows Mobile to Symbian, palmOne, RIM, and Linux.
Windows Mobile 5.0 will take center stage in a dedicated session titled "Windows Mobile 5.0 -- What It Means For Your Business." The "enterprise-oriented" session will explore the new capabilities of the "highly improved" software platform from Microsoft, including features such as wireless video calling, high speed data backup, and the new mobile Office suite.
"The amount of requests for speaking opportunities have been staggering, yet only the most innovative and informative sessions will make it to the conference," organizers say.
Further details on attendance, vendor participation, and speaking opportunities are available on the event's
website.
