Mascot Capsule Inc. announced that version 4 of its 3D graphics rendering software for cell phones and other mobile embedded devices has been optimized for ATI Technologies' IMAGEON 2300 coprocessor. The company claims that the use of Mascot Capsule software in combination with ATI's Imageon 2300 graphics controller results in "game-console performance into the palm of your hand."The company says...
its Mascot Capsule Micro3D Engine software, which is currently installed in over 30 million handsets worldwide, is implemented in both C and Java and supports Microsoft's Windows Mobile for Smartphones operating system. Graphics standards supported by Mascot Capsule are said to include OpenGL ES and the J2ME Mobile 3D Graphics standards (JSR-184).
