Mobile POS supports barcode scanners for item SKU entry, and magnetic stripe readers for credit card authorization, according to the company. The Pocket PC's touchscreen captures the customer's signature (screenshot on right), and the receipt is printed on a wireless printer stowed on the cashier's hip.

Mobile POS integrates with Microsoft's Retail Management System (RMS) to support real-time inventory management and reporting, according to New West. Customer information maintained by RMS can also be made available to the Mobile POS terminal.
