A newly announced program is designed to simulate the user interface of Apple's iPhone on Windows Mobile devices. Flick Software's "iSwish" includes a photo library, lets users zoom in and out on photos with their fingers, and can also launch standard Windows Mobile applications, says Flick.
Since Apple released its own mobile phone at the beginning of 2007, some Windows Mobile users -- you know who you are -- have been suffering iPhone envy. To counteract this, several companies have released software that mimics the Apple product's look and feel, letting users launch programs and view photographs using their fingers. Examples include HTC's TouchFLO, Pointui's Pointui Home, and MobilityFlow's TouchCommander.

Though "released" so far only in the form of a YouTube video, iSwish (above) appears to be the most faithful iPhone simulation to date. It implements "all the cool interface stuff," according to Flick, such as:
Smooth flicking from screen to screen
Jiggling when icons are moved
A photo library
A simulated "multi-touch pinch" for zooming in and out on photos
In addition, the product is said to support Summerboard, a program that iPhone users can employ to modify their phones' appearance. With iSwish, background wallpapers and icons that were created for Summerboard can also be copied to a Windows Mobile phone and will work there, says Flick.
The software is not yet downloadable, but will be opened up to a public trial this month, according to the company. Pricing was not announced. More information may be available on the company's website, here.
