PPC-6700, introduced not quite two years ago. In comparison to the PPC-6700, the Mogul is smaller and has more internal memory, longer battery life, and a higher resolution camera, Sprint says.
Initially, the Mogul -- which reportedly will be dubbed the "PPC-6800" -- will support EV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) Rev. 0 data download speeds averaging 400 to 700 kbps with peak speeds up to 2.0 Mbps, according to Sprint. Later the company plans to provide support for EV-DO Rev. A via a free software upgrade. Rev. A is said to increase the maximum burst downlink rate to 3.1 Mbps and significantly improve the maximum uplink burst rate to 1.8 Mbps.
Sprint lists the following key features and specifications for the Mogul:

- Display -- 2.8-inch QVGA TFT, 16-bit color
- Camera -- 2 Mpixel with 8x digital zoom, flash, and auto-focus. Up to 30 seconds of video capture with sound
- Expansion -- Micro SD slot. Supports up to 2 GB card, 512 MB card included
- Wireless:
- dual-band CDMA -- 800 MHz and 1900 MHz
- built-in WiFi -- 802.11b/g
- Bluetooth v. 2.0 with stereo support
- Built-in speaker phone
- Speaker-independent voice recognition
- Dimensions -- 4.3 x 2.3 x 0.7 inches (110 x 59 x 19 mm)
The Mogul appears to be very similar to the
Wing introduced last month by T-Mobile.
Sprint says the Mogul will be available at its online store this week, priced at around $400 with a 2-year contract. The unit is expected to appear in the company's retail stores next month.
