The new M600 has very similar hardware specifications to the M500, but runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and is packaged in a slick black case.
(Click here for larger image)The M500 is based on a 400MHz Samsung S3C 2440 processor with 64MB of SDRAM and 128MB of Flash. Its 2.8-inch LTPS TFT LCD screen supports QVGA (320 x 240) resolution in 65K colors. Built-in wireless capabilities include quad-band GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth, and 802.11 WiFi. An integrated 1.3 megapixel camera provides 4X digital zoom with image resolutions up to 1280 x 960, and features enhanced brightness and white balance controls, according to E-Ten. An SDIO card slot provides expandability.
Built-in software includes
Skype VoIP for Pocket PC and Windows Media Player Mobile plus a set of E-Ten multimedia tools including Image Wizard, Image Maker, Multimedia Manager, Camera, and Camcorder. Phone features include speakerphone support and the ability to identify an incoming call with a photo from the contact database.
While the M600 is rumored to be approaching a November release date in the US, there is no indication of what carriers might offer it, or for what price.
