Days after unveiling its first Pico-ITX design, Via says "ultra mobility" will be the theme of its eighth annual technology forum.

Co-located in Taipei with the giant Computex trade show, the Via Technology Forum (VTF2007) will take place on June 6th this year.

The one-day event will feature morning keynotes from unanounced speakers, followed by technical tracks on:
        • Enabling ultra mobility -- Technologies that extend battery life, enhance connectivity, and drive miniaturization, as well as key applications and services enabling greater convenience and access to communications, information, and entertainment

        • Connected client computing -- Software and hardware developments that impact TCO, enable access to computing resources, and have proven implementation records in developed and emerging markets
Via is currently lining up sponsorships for the event, which are available in four levels.

Richard Brown, VP of Marketing, stated, "Enabling the ultra mobile lifestyle is all about making access to the content, applications, and services that people want and need as convenient as possible. At VTF2007, Via and our partners will lay out our vision and strategy."
