The Unidat 6.5 comes standard with 400- to 650MHz RISC or CISC CPUs of undisclosed origin, but can also be ordered with CPUs clocked up to 1.5GHz performance, says Solcon Systemtechnik. Standard RAM configurations range from 256MB to 512MB DDR2 RAM, with optional upgrades to as much as 2GB. Flash starts at 256MB, with upgrades to 2GB. The system is said to include a CF-card slot that can handle 4GB flash cards, and it offers a built-in, shock-mounted 20GB 2.5-inch hard drive (also upgradeable). There's also PC 104 expansion.

Unidat 6.5-inch Terminal, wall-mounted

The 6.5-inch touchscreen provides 640x480 VGA resolution, say the company, and there's a built-in programmable numeric keyboard. Standard I/O includes a 10/100 Ethernet connection, two USB ports, two serial ports, and a parallel port. I/O options include WiFi, IrDA, PCMCIA, FireWire, digital I/O, and additional Ethernet and parallel ports.

The fanless, aluminum-encased system measures 7.1 x 8.7 x 2.8 inches and weighs 7.7 pounds. It offers standard resistance to temperatures ranging from 32 to 140 degrees F, with an option extending that to -22 to 158 degrees.
