Additionally, the program is user-configurable to support other languages or alphabets, including Chinese and Korean, the company says.

ExIdeas says that MessagEase's patented keyboard system has fewer keys, and that users enter all required characters by means of a combination of taps and slides. Characters are assigned to locations on the keyboard based on their frequency of use; more frequently used letters are assigned to faster and easier taps. The company claims that this approach provides an ideal text entry method when only a single stylus or finger is used.
"Depending on the alphabet and language, handwriting recognition is either non existent or slow and inaccurate. MessagEase offers the fastest and most accurate text entry method for cell phones, Tablet PCs, and PDAs, regardless of the language and alphabet used," said Saied Nesbat, CEO of Exideas.
MessageEase runs on Tablet PCs, Pocket PCs, and Palm devices as well as Windows XP and 2000. A free 2-month evaluation version is available for download
