        Thin client runs Windows XP Embedded, hosts local apps

        [Updated Aug. 27, 2004] BOScom has introduced a new member of its "Bosanova" thin client family. The XTC 1000 runs Windows XP Embedded and is said to provide exceptional performance for applications running locally.

        The XTC 1000 boasts a 1GHz processor, AGP 84X 2D/3D graphic acceleration, 10/100 Ethernet networking, audio, an internal PCI expansion slot, and a PCMCIA card slot, along with various PC-style I/O ports (detailed below). Video outputs are provided for both DVI-interfaced LCD panels and standard SVGA monitors.
