According to Neoware, the Windows CE and Linux versions of its c50, e90, and e140 thin clients now come with a minimum of 256 MB of RAM, while the Windows XP Embedded versions start at 512 MB. In addition to providing faster performance, the new memories are said to consume 10 percent less power.

All three models are powered by Via processors. The c50 is clocked at 400 MHz, the e90 at 800 MHz, and the e140 at 1 GHz.

The e90 thin client is now available with a factory-installed WiFi 802.11b/g upgrade with internal antenna, Neoware said. This is instead of an earlier USB-based wireless option.

Neoware says the upgraded thin clients are available now, with prices starting at $259 for the c50, $369 for the e90, and $459 for the e140.
