Symbol Technologies announced today that Coca-Cola Enterprises plans to purchase a customized version of Symbol's recently introduced MC9000-G Pocket PC based handheld, for use by 28,000 Mobile Workers in North America and Europe.

The devices will be used as part of a comprehensive enterprise mobility solution for strategic logistics, delivery, and service applications "to maximize efficiencies and customer service," Symbol says.
