AMD has released a hardware/software reference design kit (RDK) for a tiny, low-power, single-board computer based on its Geode GX 533@1.1W processor. The Geode GX SOM-144 RDK supports both Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded, and is ideal for applications where power, size, performance, and reliability are critical, AMD says.

The RDK is implemented in the 100 x 68 mm (4.0 x 2.7 inch) "system on module" (SOM) form-factor popularized by Taiwan single-board computer (SBC) supplier, Advantech.
