These include signals for LCD panels, PCMCIA and CompactFlash card sockets, and IrDA, USB, I2C, I2S, AC97, GPIO, and JTAG interfacing. In addition, the SBC includes one synchronous and three asynchronous serial interfaces.
The SBC operates from a single 3.3V supply and contains a Core Power Generator that exceeds 90 percent conversion efficiency, according to Strategic Test. Typical power consumption is said to be 3mW in sleep mode and up to 220mW maximum, and power consumption can be reduced via a combination of sleep mode and clock rate selection.
A development board is available that includes a CompactFlash card socket with selectable IDE or CF modes, for use with memory cards or WLAN cards. The board also includes an RS-232 interface for firmware uploads, a JTAG interface, and a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet controller.
According to the company's
website, the Triton-ECO SBC and its development board support Windows CE 4.2.
The module is priced at $99 for quantities of 1000 pieces ($135 for qty 10) and is available for immediate delivery, according to the manufacturer, Strategic Test.
With the addition of this newest member, the Strategic Test Triton family now includes five PXA255-based SBCs with varying processor speeds and onboard functions.
