HandSmart announced FlashPack, a new tool used to create standalone Macromedia Flash executables for Pocket PC based devices. The FlashPack engine supports both full screen and windowed modes, as well as a user programmable zoom button, the company said.

FlashPack is offered in several versions, from a low end version for Flash artists wanting to market their content, to a "Pro" version with functions that reportedly help with registration and distribution, generation of demo versions, intellectual property protection, etc.

According to HandSmart, FlashPack is the first tool to provide artists, game developers, and content providers a means to distribute and manage Flash-based content on Pocket PC based devices without requiring any programming skills.
