Voxware has released a tool suite aimed at easing the development of voice-enabled warehouse logistics applications targeting mobile Windows CE devices. VoiceLogistics Pro works with the company's VoiceXML-based VoxBrowser software, which enables device-independent, voice-enabled applications,...

        according to the company.

Voxware claims that VoiceLogistics Pro can eliminate up to 90 percent of the coding effort required by conventional voice products. The tool suite comprises:
        • VoxStudio -- a visual tool for defining and configuring voice interfaces and workflows

        • VoxConnect -- a graphical tool that supports direct-connect integration with WMS/ERP applications

        • VoxReport Generator -- a tool for creating custom reports
VoiceLogistics Pro applications can be interactively prototyped with customers, according to Voxware, which helps ensure that the end result will match customer requirements prior to system deployment.

Voxware says that the VoiceLogistics Pro is based on standard Internet technologies such as VoiceXML, HTTP, Java, and webservers. This results in applications that are "loosely-coupled yet scalable," and in which client devices are fully independent of the server, according to the company. It also allows users to easily migrate among different wireless devices, operating systems, databases, Warehouse Management Systems, and back-end systems.

VoiceLogistics Pro supports 22 languages and is available for immediate delivery, according to Voxware.
