Datalight describes
Reliance as a transactional filesystem specifically designed for embedded devices that preserves both user data and metadata during an unexpected power loss. Additionally, Reliance exhibits faster boot times and write speeds than filesystems that employ logging or journaling, the company claims. Additionally, there is no need for a chkdsk-type utility, or to check filesystem integrity at boot time.
FlashFX Pro , on the other hand, is described as a "multi-threaded flash media manager [that] ensures the integrity of stored data by supporting atomic writes into unused areas of a flash device."
Porting kits for both Reliance and FlashFX Pro versions 2.0 are available for Windows CE, Wind River VxWorks, and Accelerated Technology Nucleus, according to Datalight. The company also offers an RTOS porting kit, which it says enables developers to port Reliance and FlashFX Pro to other real-time operating systems.
Reliance v2.0 and FlashFX Pro v2.0 are available now.
