Like the 3.5-inch UMR-X10-35 released last year, the UMR-X10-70 is designed for a variety of specialized hardware. According to Anders, the intelligent display provides a graphical user interface, high resolution graphics, and digital audio.

Available in both standard and sunlight-readable versions, the UMR-X10-70 has a seven-inch touchscreen display with 800 x 480 resolution. It also has a Marvell PXA270 processor clocked at either 312MHz or 520MHz, with up to 128MB of DRAM and 512MB of flash memory.

The RoHS-compliant UMR-X10-70 includes audio capabilities, with line level I/O and amplified output (2.1 watts per channel). Measuring just 6.4 x 4.1 x 1 inches, the device uses a specialized I/O connector for many of its interfaces.

In addition to being available via the I/O connector, the device's 10/100 Ethernet and USB host/client ports are optionally available with standard connectors. The UMR-X10-70 also includes an SD card reader and an optional USB-based wireless networking module.

        Specifications listed by Anders include:
