"eo," named for the Latin word meaning to go, advance, or progress, is expected to begin shipping during the last week of April, according to the company.

VIA C7 nanoBGA2 processor clocked at 1 GHz, coupled with the
VN800 Northbridge. The device is equipped with 256 MB of SDRAM, which is expandable to 1 GB, plus a 30 GB 2.5-inch hard drive, which can be upgraded to 100 GB. The unit also includes a pair of USB 2.0 ports, plus integrated 802.11b/g and Bluetooth wireless.
The eo runs Windows XP Tablet PC addition together with Microsoft's new
Touch Pak UMPC extensions. It features enhanced touch-screen capabilities with handwriting recognition and a "revolutionary" new, on-screen keyboard, according to TabletKiosk.
Other input options include a stereo microphone with voice recognition, and hardware controls that easily adapt to left or right handed users.
On the down side, battery life is rated at 2.5+ hours. Short battery life, coupled with high price, have been cited by
some analysts as likely obstacles to widespread market acceptance of first-generation UMPCs.
The eo will initially be available in either a black or white case. Base price is $899, according to TabletKiosk.
